If you're looking for a Disney World experience that's a little more laid-back but still packed with pixie dust, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground needs to be on your radar — it’s been on my personal Disney bucket list for years! (And spoiler alert: we're finally going soon with our pop-up camper, Daisy!)
At Fort Wilderness, you have so many ways to stay:
Book a cozy Deluxe Cabin with all the comforts of home
Rent an on-site camper (already set up and waiting for you!)
Bring your own RV or camper
Or go classic with tent camping under the stars
And trust me — Fort Wilderness isn’t just about where you sleep. This place
is buzzing with fun from morning 'til night. You can:
Savor legendary dining like the famous Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (hello, fried chicken, bottomless beer and sangria, and hilarious fun!)
Hop on water transportation straight to Magic Kingdom
Watch the fireworks sparkle over Bay Lake from the sandy beach
Snuggle up for Movies Under the Stars
Belt out songs at the Chip ‘n’ Dale Campfire Sing-Along (and toast some gooey s'mores!)
Saddle up for trail rides and pony rides at Tri-Circle-D Ranch
Cast a line and go fishing in peaceful, shady spots
And of course — rent a golf cart to loop around the campground in style!
It’s rustic, it’s magical, and it’s full of those little unexpected Disney moments you’ll talk about for years. You can even bring your pets! (not in tent/pop-up sites) If you’re dreaming of a Disney trip that feels a little slower, a little sweeter, and a lot closer to nature, Fort Wilderness might just be your perfect match.
And if you ever need a few insider tips (like the best loops to request or how early to book your golf cart), you know who to call.

All sites have water, electricity, and picnic tables with charcoal grills, with some also including sewer hook-ups, cable TV, and sanitary disposal.

Tent: Pop-up Sites: Each campsite provides a concrete pad (10 feet by 25 feet) for setup, with space for additional tents. Campsites include essential amenities like water, electrical hook-ups, cable television, a picnic table, and a charcoal grill
Campsites can accommodate multiple tents, but only up to 10 guests per campsite.
