WE KNOW YOU HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT USING A TRAVEL ADVISOR, SO LET'S DIVE IN!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Our planning services are usually 100% free to you because we work with trusted travel suppliers. However, on the rare occasion that a part of your trip can’t be booked through those suppliers, a small 10% booking fee may apply to those specific components.  For example, we arranged an ECV (mobility scooter) rental for a client recently. Their preferred rental company was not one of our suppliers, so there was a $17 booking fee for arranging the rental. This helps us to provide you with personalized support every step of the way. Don’t worry—if any fees apply, we’ll always discuss them with you upfront so there are no surprises.

Q: Is there a fee for organizing group trips?

A: For group trips like besties getaways, bachelorettes, or family reunions, there is a planning fee to cover the extra coordination involved, and that depends on the size of your group, for more information about my fees, please email me at PixieDustSally@gmail.com.

Q: Do you book air travel?

A: I typically don’t book standalone airfare, since airlines work directly with travelers to handle delays, cancellations, or changes—and that’s usually the fastest way to resolve any issues. However, if you’re booking a full travel package through one of my preferred suppliers—like an all-inclusive vacation with FunJet, Apple Vacations, or Exoticca—airfare can often be included. In those cases, I’ll help you choose the best flight options to fit your itinerary. And even when flights aren’t part of the package, I’m always happy to offer guidance on when to book, what to watch for, and which airlines to consider.

Q: Why should I use a Travel Advisor? I do just fine planning my own vacations.

A: Most travel providers, including hotels, cruise lines, and resorts, already incorporate travel advisor fees into the overall cost of their services. This means you are essentially paying for an advisor’s expertise, even if you don’t utilize one. By working with a travel advisor, you can maximize the value of that investment. We have the inside knowledge to help you secure the best cabins on a cruise, which rooms to request at a resort, identify which upgrades and extras are worth your investment, and we can often apply discounts even after you’ve booked at a higher rate. We know putting your vacation in someone else’s hands is not for everyone - I mean, we’re in this business because we loved planning our own vacations - but if planning makes you anxious, let us handle the details and reduce your stress, so you can enjoy your trip with confidence and ease!

Q: How do travel agents get paid?

Great question! Travel agents are paid a commission by the travel suppliers (like cruise lines, resorts, or tour companies) you book with. The commission is already built into the cost of your trip whether you use a travel advisor or not—so working with me doesn’t add extra expense, but it does give you personalized service, expert guidance, and someone in your corner every step of the way.

For any components of your trip that are non-commissionable (for example, certain activities, transfers, or specialty services), I’ll let you know upfront. In those cases, there’s a 10% booking fee for that component.

Typically, I receive commission within 45 days of the completion of your travel, which means I don’t get paid until after you’ve already taken your trip. That’s why your trust and partnership mean so much—it allows me to keep creating magical, stress-free vacations for clients like you.
